Joey Jordison ute av Slipknot

Akkurat da alle trodde at Slipknot skulle komme tilbake i 2014 dropper bandet en overraskende nyhet.

Joey Jordison har vært trommis og et av de mest fremtredende medlemmene i svært populære Slipknot siden starten, men i går amerikansk tid kom den sjokkerende nyheten om at Jordison nå er ute av bandet. De siste årene har Jordison jobbet med sideprosjektene Scar The Martyr og Murderdolls mens Slipknot har hatt pause fra studio etter Paul Grays død, men i alle intervjuer har Joey fortalt at hovedbandet snart skulle være på gang igjen. Akkurat det kommer nok også til å skje, men altså uten et av de viktigste medlemmene. Les meldingen resten av bandet postet på nett i natt:

To our Maggots and fans around the world. It is with great pain but quiet respect that, for personal reasons, Joey Jordison and SLIPKNOT are parting ways. We all wish Joey the best in whatever his future holds.
We understand that many of you will want to know how and why this has come to be, and we will do our best to respond to these questions in the near future. It is our love for all of you, as well as for the music we create, that spurs us to continue on and move forward with our plans for releasing new material in the next year.
