Joey Jordisons band Scar The Martyr skapte vel ikke de helt store bølgene med albumet som kom for noen måneder siden, men musikken er slett ikke ille. Soul Disintegration er en av de mykere låtene på platen, og den har fått video og greier.

Scar The Martyr er det nyeste bandet til Joey Jordison fra Slipknot. Debutalbumet er ute i disse dager, og nå har låten Blood Host fått video. Filmet i downtown Slipknot-land Des Moines, Iowa. Ikke helt ulikt Slipknot, men langt mykere.

Som mange av de andre Slipknot-medlemmene driver Joey Jordison på med mye annet mens maskebanden har pause og/eller spiller inn album. I oktober druser Joey til med album fra nytt band kalt Scar The Martyr, og låten Blood Host kan allerede nå sjekkes ut. En slags blanding av Slipknot og Faith No More? Jeg siterer dønn fra pressemeldingen og Joey himself:

“It’s very coincidental that Blood Host is our first track and video because it was the first song I wrote for this project when it was nothing but a mere idea at best. Songs of course followed, and molded into an overall feel, concept and now a full length album. Blood Host has it all, hypnotic riffs, soaring choruses, pummeling breakdowns and the lyrics are infectious in every sense. We are very proud of the track and it pretty much lets you know where we are coming from musically and what we are all about live. Scar the Martyr up close and personal.”
